Gamescom is the world’s largest gaming event with 340.000 visitors and more than 70 exhibitors from all over the world. Set in Cologne in 2009, Gamescom has quickly become the get-together place for gaming companies and fans from all over the world.
Proficient City set our first booth at the European conference to introduce several browser games and our first mobile games. The team met up with VK Games, one of Proficient City oldest partners and our gate to the Russian market. They also met Gamespree, a local company that wanted to discuss their publishing services.
One of our guests of honor to the booth was Aeria Games, who invited us to visit their offices in Berlin after the conference. One of Germany’s best videogame publishers, Aeria games publishes Proficient City’s Wartune and Sword Saga.
And as the last day was closing, a surprise visit to Game Hollywood’s booth meant the closing of one of the most interesting deals this year with one of our most famous partners so far: Fútbol Club Barcelona. The Spanish team wanted to include FCB items and characters into our cutest game yet: DDTank. This has flourished into one of our most successful campaigns in China.
